Wednesday - Dump Day

We took the motorhome up to the dump station and dumped the holding tanks and filled with water. We went two weeks and they weren't over flowing, so that was pretty good. Took a walk up north on a dirt road, could see Coyote Ridge to the west, lined with RVs. Happy hour here is at 4:00 PM Arizona time. Just before 4:00 PM a dark cloud went over and we had half a dozen drops of rain fall and the wind came up, some thought we would have to skip happy hour. There was a nice rainbow over towards Castle Dome. We did convene happy hour at Jack's camp site and he moved his pickup to block the wind. After happy hour Cathy, Snoopy and I walked up the dirt road north for about 1 mile. On the way back a coyote crossed in front of us and then crossed again behind us. He wasn't scared and we were within about 200 ft of him. We haven't seen any burros yet, but we see the hoof prints every morning.
Cathy made reservations at an RV resort in Julian, CA for Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights. It is at almost 5,000 ft so will be a change from the desert. It is about 170 miles from here. Julian is an old gold mine town and has always been one of my favorite places.
