Saturday - Sales Pitch

The day started off with a shower at the bath house. Nice hot water, but it got even hotter when someone flushed the toilet. We went to Ramona to get my prescription filled. There was a nice CVS Pharmacy and all went well. While the prescription was being filled we shopped at Albertsons and had coffee and pastries at KD Donuts. Ramona is a nice city 22 miles from Julian and 13 miles from Escondido. The road is very curvy, so it takes at least a half hour. We went back to the RV park for the mandatory sales pitch for Colorado River Adventure, the owner of the park. We got a rate of $19.95 for three nights, if we skipped the sales pitch it was $50 per night. The park is 120 acres and they took us all around it in a golf cart. We then went into Julian and went to church at St. Elizabeth of Hungary Catholic church at 4:30 PM. It was a small but pretty little church with log siding. A unique thing at the church is the parking lot that they charge $5.00 per day for people shopping in Julian. We ate dinner at Romanos Dodge House Sicilian restaurant across the street from the church. I had angel hair pasta with Marinaro sauce and meatballs. Brought home about two pounds of meat balls and pasta. Cathy had Pork Juliana, pork loins simmered in whiskey and some very nice vegetables. We should get about three lunches out of the left overs.
