Got up fairly early to try out the deluxe showers in the pool and spa area. I was thwarted, they are only open from 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM. Went back to the shower I used yeasterday, today it had a different quirk, it would all of a sudden go ice cold and then extremely hot, probably a ploy to keep showers short. At 9:30 AM we went to the California Wolf Center, which is adjacent to the RV park. It was very interesting and I took a lot of pictures. After the wolf visit, Cathy took a shower in the deluxe showers, she said it didn't get very hot, so I guess I did better. We went to have apple pie and ice cream at the club house, but it evidently was cancelled. We went out to the Menghini Winery about 2 miles north of town. It was a beautiful drive out and the tasteing was $4.00 ea. You get to keep the glass and you get five glasses of wine to taste. The tasteing was conducted by two very nice girls, 4 cats & a sheep dog. They were all good. If you go back with the glass, you get a complimentary tasteing of 5 wines. While we were on the patio we started talking to another couple. She was from Minot and worked as a librarian at Palomar College, where I went to school. We got her card and will visit her at Palomar College. We passed the J. Jenkins Winery about 1,000 ft from the Menghini Winery. We went back to Julian and walked around. I bought some boisenberry apple cider. I took a lot of pictures. We stopped at the Candied Apple Pastry Company across from the Catholic church and had a slice of sour cream apple pie and coffee. The woman had just taken over the bakery 4 months ago. She had moved out here from Wisconsin. I'm glad we finally had the apple pie, because I kept getting "Denis said we had to have some apple pie". We are now back at the motorhome and watching a very boaring Super Bowl
