It is supposed to snow at the 2,000 ft level starting at 4 AM tommorrow, so we went to Yosemite today.  Perfect weather, sunny and upper 50's and 60's.  We got to Yosemite Village about 12:30 PM.  We went to the Village Store and bought a few souvenirs and a nature book to help identify birds and plants.  We then went to the visitor center and museum.  There was a very interesting native american woman, Julia Parker, from the Kashaya Pomo/Coast  Miwok. She was demonstrating how to make Pomo style single-rod coiled tray baskets.  The materials are sedge roots, split red bud shoots and willow shoots.  I took a lot of pictures of El Capitan and Half Dome and Yosemite Falls.  It seemed like every time you looked they looked different because of where the sun was.  The museum had a complete, full size,  Miwok village with  bark houses,  Chief's  house,  Ceremonial round house and sweat house.  We got back to  Sierra Park  about  6:00 PM.
