We got up early, took showers, started the laundry and went to the 8:00 AM seating for the biscuits and gravy breakfast put on by the Park Sierra Singles.  The breakfast was good and we talked to several people about the park.  At about 10:00 AM Cathy's cousing Rick and wife Maria came to say good bye and look at the motorhome.  While they were there I put the slide in and got ready to leave.  We left about 12:15 PM for Bakersfield, where we wanted to stop at Camping World for a few things.  They have a large indoor showroom and we saw a 40' motorhome for $89,900.  It had one slide and regular house size appliances, including range, dishwasher, fridge, washer and dryer.  It had a Workhorse chassis. We left Bakersfield without getting gas and headed for Tehatchapi, 30 miles away up a steep grade.  We got to the first exit and went into town for gas.  I filled at the first station and headed down the steet for the highway.  There wern't any signs, but I took what looked like the road to the highway.  It wnt under the highway and ended at a cemetary.  I tried to turn around at the cemetary, but couldn't, so unhooked the dolly and turned around.  Headed back to town and after one mor wrong turn made it to the highway.  We stopped at a rest area between Yermo and Baker on I15.  We just finished a salad for dinner and will sleep here tonight and head to Pahrump and Death Valley at sun rise
