It was a fairly uneventful day. Got gas in Baker, CA at a Valero station with lots of room around the pumps. $2.94/gal. Drove to Shoshone, CA a small town south of Death Valley Junction where we turned to go to Pahrump, NV. Shoshone was kind of a nice little town with a Death Valley museum that had been Charlie Brown's general store and a gas station among other things. We got to the Escapee's Pair-A-Dice Park about 12:30 PM. It was about 61 above with a steady 20 mph wind. Nice park, but not at all like Jojoba Hills or Park Sierra. 40 acres laid out like a mobile home park. Went to Terrible's Casino just down the road from the park. You don't use coins in the slot machines, only bills or the receipts that the machine print when you cash out. Joined their Players Club and got a free t-shirt. Had their buffet two for one with coupon for $4.99. Was good. Cathy had chicken and I had pork roast with mashed potatos, corn, freen beans and salad. Cake and ice cream for desert. We will go back for the two for one breakfast buffet for $3.99.
