We left Pahrump this morning and headed to Las Vegas, got thru Las Vegas and decided to take Hwy 93 across Hoover Dam. We had to stop for an inspection about a mile from the dam. Checked several basement doors and didn't go in motorhome. The wind was blowing hard, up to 40 mph, from the west. Motorhome handled well with the air bags and Safe-T-Steer thru the canyon gusts. We went first to Kingman, AZ and now are at an Escapees Rainbow Park at Congress, AZ. They have 436 deeded lots here. Some even have houses on them. They also have 110 full hook-up sites. We are in the Boondock Area, as I didn't want to unhook tonight. We can't run the generator because the Boondock Area is adjacent to the deeded lots. The county made them move the Boondock Area from whee it was next to the highway, so that there would be a "green" buffer area between the highway and park. It actually is just sand. Just north of here there was some beautiful cactus and rock area, where there were thousands of rock and cactus combinations far more beautiful than any landscaping I have ever seen. It would be good to photgraph some of them and then duplicate them in yards. Congress is kind of a neat desert town.
I am using Tengonet WiFi as the Verizon doesn't connect where we are parked. It did in the registration area, however. The Tengonet costs $3.00/day, $15.00/wk or $30.00/mo.
