We left Deming, NM about 9:00 AM and pulled into Pecos, TX about 4:00 PM.  We lost one hour going between MST and CST.  We plan on leaving early in the morning and maybe making the Kansas border.  It got down to 28 above in Deming and we didn't have any heat on in the motorhome.  It got down to 48 above in the motorhome.  Tonight we are in another Escapees park, TraPark RV Park.  It is a nice park and a lot of the sites have picnic shelters with tables, including the one we are at.  We went into Pecos for groceries, they have only one grocery store, La Tienda Thriftway.  It reminded me a lot of Hugo's stores.  The Walmart is a small one, we didn't go in.  They do have a Flying J truck stop.  The club house here is in a mobile home.  There is a small golf course adjacent to the park.  Pecos is the home of the first rodeo and hosts one every year.

I hated Texas when we were there. Port Aransas (sp)? was nice but the people I felt were not real friendly. I have not been back since I went to school there. Dad, you knew that Jay and I went to school in Victorville, Cal. I really enjoyed going to school there. Grandma and Grandpa O'Neal lived in Hesparia (sp)?
