We did 573 miles today.  We found western Texas to be dry, dreary, run down and desolate.  As soon as we crossed the Red River just outside Wichita Falls, TX into Oklahoma everything changed, grass was green, lots of trees and beautiful farms, ranches and towns.  Shortly after the Red River, we crossed the Deep Red River, which was really a deep red color.  The soil is also very red.  We are at the Cedar Valley RV Park near Guthrie, OK.  It has 71 pull thru sites and is very nice.  $10.00 with Passport America.  We have about 900 miles to home.  Weather was beautiful today, 60's and sunny.  We came up from Wichita Falls on Hwy 81.  Gas is $2.35/gal, have seen $2.24/gal.  Stopped at a smal Love's and had the most room we have ever had in a Love's.  Most of the Love's Truck Stops make one end of the gas islands an extremely tight turn.
