We left the rest area in Iowa at 6:00 AM this morning and crossed the ND border at 12:30 PM and were in Buxton at 3:00 PM.  Four foot snow to dig thru to get to the front door.  Half of the drive way was clear and there isn't too much snow in front of my truck, about 4 feet high and about 6 feet in length.  The water meter and copper pipe from the water meter froze and broke.  Couldn't find my propane torch, went into Grand Forks and Menards was out of stock and at Walmart someone had taken the torch head out of the box and left only the cylinder.  Stopped to see David.  He was fine, but a little unhappy that we didn't bring him anything today.  We had snow and slush from the rest area to the North Dakota border.  Clean roads all the way from the border to Buxton.  It was in the 40's when we got here, but quickly dropped to 29 above with brisk winds.  It is now 11 above at 8:30 PM.
