We got to Fusina, the mainland side of Venice about 1:00 PM on Thursday. We are staying a the Fusina Terminal Campground, <it is right next to a power plannt and refinery, bust is a beautiful spot on the bay. we took a boat from just outside the campground entrance to Venice. We went at 4:00 PM on Thursday and 9:00 AM on Friday. Wee spent about 6 hours total in Venice walking around the streets and across the bridges. Had some good ice cream. It is a very interesting place. We will leave tomorrow for Innsbruch, Austria. There is a canoe and kayak race here on Sunday and there are several hundred canoes and kayaks and the people paddling them. It is a 35km race. Some were paddling around Venice today, crossing the bay from the campground. There are some really big canoes, holding 12 or more people. Lots of ocean going ships go right by the campground. The weather is hot and sunny, with a nice breeze tonight.
