Monday morning we took the shuttle from the Holiday Inn to the airport. at 8:30 AM We were flying KLM from Brussels to Amsterdam and NWA from Amsterdam to Minneapolis. Things went well at checkin and we got in the plane. As they were about to close the door, they announced that they had lost a passenger between checkin and the plane and would have to remove the passengers checked baggage. That took about 20 minutes. They served us orange juice and a cereal bar. The pilot made up the time and we arrived in Amsterdam. It is a very large terminal, but there are a lot of moving walkways, so we made good time and went thru NWA checkin and boarded the plane early. We set off on time and had an enjoyable flight with individual video units with at least 20 new movies, games, music and interesting maps and etc. We were served a very nice pasta meal with wine. I watched Bandidas and Wild Hogs, Cathy watched Wild Hogs and Catch and Release and Kathryn watched Cat and Release, The Number 23 and a scary movie. They served us a cheese sub about an hour before we got to Minneapolis. The flight was very smooth and comfortable. We arrived on time and went thru Immigration very fast. NWA however, lost one bag, so we waited until the last bags were put on the carrosel. When we went thru customs all they did was take the declaration card and motion us thru. Cathy put in a baggage claim and they found out where it was. It should come Fed Ex on Wednesday. NWA gave us 1000 Frequent Flyer miles and a $25 voucher. Alision came to pick us up and Maureen, her sister in law, was driving because Alison still can't drive after her foot operations. Jim had planned on picking us up, but had a training session at work and Tony had a dentist's appointment. Maureen dropped Kathryn off at her apartment and we went to Alison's house where we loaded up the car and headed home. We got to Buxton at 1:15 AM.
