I talked to Ron the owner of Dixieland, the RV park we stayed at Friday night this morning. He moved there from Camarillo, Ca 11 years ago. They have it up for sale, 15 acres, 40 pull thru sites, club house and two fish ponds, for $329,000. When they sell it they plan on traveling full time in their Motorhome. We got to Livingston and
Rainbow's End, the Escapee's headquarters park at about 4:00 PM. We showered and then Marion & Karl our next door neighbors took us on a tour of the park in their car. They have been coming here for 13 years. It really is a beautiful park and very large. We saw the
Care Center where volunteers help other RVers that need help while living in their own RVs. Meals and transportation to medical care facilities is provided. After the tour Cathy and I went into Livingston and checked it out. A very nice small city. We ate at
Shrimpboat Manny's Cajun Restaurant. We had the fried shrimp which was delicious, Cathy had red beans and Cajun sausage on rice, and I had a New York strip. Real Estate is very reasonable, places on the lake for under $100,000.
