We left Bayou Segnette State Park at noon after filling with water and dumping the holding tanks.  We saw a lot of destruction on the NE side of New Orleans and out towards Slidel.  When we crossed into Mississippi we stopped at a beautiful Welcome Center.  It was like an old mansion with lots of sitting rooms.  They also provided soft drinks, coffee and WiFi.  We saw quite a bit of damage near Pas Christian, MS also.  We stopped at the Alabama Welcome Center and it also was very nice.  Driving up I65 was really enjoyable.  Beautiful scenery, good road, sunny and no wind.  The temperature was mid 60's.  We stopped at a Walmart in Greenville, Alabama for the night.  We have about 200 miles left to Perry, GA in the morning.  We will try to get an early start.
