We left Branson about 10:30 AM. We drove by the Turkey Creek RV Village and the water hadn't gone up any. The bridge on Route 65B was closed, so we had to go back to Route 65. It was very windy with a steady 30mph and gusting to 30 to 40mph out of the SW. Gas in Springfield was $3.05, I didn't fill there and payed $3.07 down the road. We went out to Colaws RV Salvage and looked for a night stand. They had some, but were all water damaged. They have a large inventory of new, surplus and used RV parts and accessories. They have hundreds of junked RVs and hundreds of RVs that can be rebuilt. We went to historic Carthage and saw an unbelievable courthouse, the
Jasper County Courthouse. It is of Romanesque architecture and looks like a castle. We saw many beautiful homes built between 1880 and 1910. Carthage is also the
Precious Moments center of the world with a shop, chapel and park. We haven't been there yet, but might go tomorrow.
