Today was a much better day.  Weather wise again it was perfect, 70's and sunny.  Had my UND ODNA meeting over the phone.  After the UND meeting, we drove down to La Posa South LTVA and registered.  I disconnected the Motosat Nomad II controller and took it along when we went into lunch at La Mesa RV.  They had extremely good spagehetti and lettuce with creamy Italian dressing and a very good dessert.  Took the Nomad II over to Satellite Advantage and had the software updated.  We checked out some of the vendors just west of the post office.  Went to the General Store and bought some groceries.  Got back to the motor home and reinstalled the Nomad II.  This time it worked, so we have satellite TV again.  We watched House and Monk and then went into town to the Yacht Club for dinner.  The Yacht Club was started by a man from California that worked with the mines in the area and thought that the bar in Quartzsite named Jigsaw could be improved.  He bought it in the late 70's and redid it and called it the Yacht Club, with the motto, "Welcome Aboard; no sea in a long time."  He started selling memberships at $10 each.  They now have over 6,000 members.  The original yacht Club burned down in 1995 and the owner rebuilt it with a restaurant and motel.  It took so much out of him that he died a year after its completion.  Cathy had fish and chips and I had a Berryaki Burger.  The food was good.  One problem was that we ate outside since there weren't any tables free inside.  Smoking isn't allowed in the bar, so they all came out to the terrace to smoke.  It almost killed us.  After dinner we went inside and found a table.  We stayed for two sets of the country western band and enjoyed it a lot.  Some of the dancers were very interesting and the band was good.  We left at 11:00 PM to find our way home.  We are parked about 3 miles off the highway in the desert.  I put two little flashing emergency lights on the motorhome.  It was a good thing as I was off by a 1,000 ft or so.
