Another nice day.  I thoght it might be miserable as we had strong winds up until about 6:00 AM. I gave Cathy a Valentine and a T-shirt with a Rat Terrier picture on it with "I'm Snoopy's Mom" under the picture.  Did some more straightening out in the motor home.  Watched the NASCAR Nationwide race.  Got the grill out to do the brats for the pot luck dinner.  Went over to the solar dealer to check out charge controllers.  He was busy doing an install, but I looked at his display and found one I liked, a Specialty Concepts Mark RV.  Looked it up on the WEB and it looks like it will do what I want.  The present contoller doesn't totally charge the batteries and I think a controller would be more beneficial than an additional solar panel.  At 3:00 PM we gathered for the pot luck.  There was a lot to eat, every one brought there own meat and wvery one brought a side dish.  Cathy made pumpkin drop cake, which was well received.  There was Spanish rice, potato salad, cabbage, apple desert, macoroni and cheese and chips etc.  After eating we sat around the fire until the sun went down.  There was a Hobo Potluck also going on.  The way it works is every one brings a can of something and it is all dumped together and heated up.  We discussed the many pit falls involved in such a combination.  Helen brought out a bottle of wine that Tess had left for us and we drank a toast to her.  It was Rowina's birthday and we all signed a card and gave it to her.  Andy's dog Skipper came down and entertained us for a while.
