We left La Posa South at about 2:00 PM to go to Indio, CA for a WIT - High Desert Rig Runners campout and the Riverside County Fair and International Date Festival.  The weather was clear and sunny with about a 15 mph wind.  On the way out of Quartzsite we filled up with gas at the Pilot station for $1.99.  The drive on I-10 was enjoyable and the desert was very green from the recent rain.  We got into Indio and took Golf Center Parkway to Hwy 111 and then to Arabia and the Fair Grounds.  There is a lot of room for RVs and it costs $10 per night.  We ate at the La Casita Mexican restaurant a few blocks away.  They had a buffet, so Cathy and I both ordered it.  After dinner we went back to the motor homes for dessert. Most of the campers are running their generators.
