It was another beautiful day.  As I write this at 8:50 PM it is 75 degrees out side.  We left the camp site at 8:20 AM.  We drove over to Hwy 95 and met some others coming from Yuma. Seven vehicles left for the KOFA mountains and the Big Eye mine.  We had to drive 15 miles over a 4 WD only road, basically up dry washes.  There were lots of desert plants blooming and I took many pictures.  We stopped for lunch about three miles short of the mine.  When we got to the end of the road, we had to hike 1 1/2 miles up hill to the mine.  There is a cabin still standing and in fair condition.  Every thing else has collapsed.  You can go into the mine if you have lights.  We spent about an hour and then went back.  We got back to the camp site at 5:15 PM.  I fed Snoopy and Thomas and went down to Bob and Doris' camp site with a beer.  Bob and Helen joined us.  Bob started a fire at the Hobo Camp and I roasted cheese brats.  We sat around the fire as it was a beautiful evening.
