The morning started out sunny, but clouded up and the wind came up. Had my UND ODNA meeting and then took off down I-10. We are on our way to the Escapee's Lone Star Corral park at D'Hannis, TX. We stopped in El Paso at he Camping World, I wanted to pick up a Winegard Wingman for my Sensar antenna. They were out and could only get two at a time from the warehouse. Also stopped at the Texas Visitor Center and picked up maps and literature on places we might want to visit. We spent the day driving thru Texas' Big Bend Country. We had planned on staying at Balmorhea State Park, but it was full. Balmorhea was an interesting town and had several very small places to eat. The park has a free flowing spring,
San Solomon Springs, that provides a high volumn of water and empties into a deep pool. There are lots of irrigation canals in the park. We continued on and spent the night at Fort Stockton's Walmart. There were eleven RVs there overnight, including a Cruise America rental Class C motorhome pulling a Cruise America enclosed trailer. That was the first time I had ever seen one with an enclosed trailer, probably had their car in it. We bought a few things at the Walmart and then Cathy fixed a delicious scrammbled egg dish for dinner.
