Not a perfect day today, overcast windy, but warm. We left the Lone Star Corral at about 10:30 AM and got to the KOA campground in San Antonio a little after noon. It is a very nice campground located about 5 miles north of downtown San Antonio. We took the city bus downtown. We went to the Alamo and then down to El Mercado, a Mexican market place. They had the same stuff that you get in the border towns, but a lot higher prices. We walked back to downtown along the River Walk and then ate at
the Republic of Texas. The prices were reasonable and the food was good. We had Nachos with two 16 oz Lone Star Beers in a can for $8 and Cathy had a BBQ chicken sandwich and I had chicken fried steak. The steak was huge and will feed both Cathy and me tomorrow. We took the bus back to the KOA from the Hilton. The bus trip was interesting and comfortable. There was another couple from the KOA on the bus. They were from Quebec and had spent some time at Mission, TX. They had just come from Big Bend National Park. We got back to the motor home and watched Dancing with the Stars and Castle.
