It was an overcast hot day.  It rained enough to use the windshield wipers and got to 90 degrees.  We went thru Bandera and Kerrville on the way to Fredricksburg.  We stopped at the Fredricksburg Walmart and considered staying there, but it was o hot we decided to go to a campground.  We decided on Pedernales Falls State Park 8 1/2 miles from Johnson City, TX, home of Lyndon Johnson.  It is a beautiful park with large sites separated by a lot of trees.  There are several hiking trails.  We have Internet here, but the cell phones don't work.
