The day started out in Gila Bend just like every other day in the last week,. clear and warm. The low over night in Gila Bend was 46 degrees. We got up early and said good bye to Betty, Marge and Denis. They were to leave at 8:00 AM for Puerto Penasco. We took off at 7:15 PM. We went up AZ-85 to I-10 to Scottsdale. I was going to see Dr Grado at
SW Oncology Centers for a second opinion on my prostate cancer. My appointment was at 11:30 AM. I met with Dr Grado and then had an ultra sound and CT Scan. I have decided to go with his suggestion of 25 radiation treatments and then implant of radio active seeds at the end. The cure rate is 95% with very few side effects. I will probably start the treatments Monday the 22nd or Tuesday the 23rd of February. We left after the appointment for Quartzsite. We stopped at the Buckeye Walmart at I-10 exit 117. It is an easy place to get in and out of. We got to La Posa South at 6:00 PM and I quickly unhooked the Jeep while Cathy put things away so we could go to the QIA for the
Sizzlin Strings. They are extremely talented and we enjoyed the performance. The high temp today in Scottsdale was 75 degrees and in Quartzsite 79 degrees.
