Another perfect day. Over night low was 58 degrees and the high today was 88 degrees. The wind was 8 mph to 10 mph and the humidity got down to 8%. About 11:30 AM we headed out to Cricket Pavilion for the Park and Ride to the Phoenix International Raceway for the NASCAR Sprint Cup race. No traffic problems and we got there in about one half hour. We parked and got on a school bus and got to the race track at 1:15 PM. We spent a couple of hours walking around picking up pens and pictures. Cathy got a personalized picture of Kyle Bushe's car for David done by Kenny Youngblood. We had seats just tothe west of the start finish line and about 12 rows up. Kasey Kayne and Curt Busche got together on about the second lap. Curt kept coming to the pits to get worked on and Kasey went to the garage for over 100 laps. A. J. Almendinger led early in the race, then Juan Pablo Montoya, Jimmey Johnson and then Kyle Busche. With 3 laps to go there was a caution and Kyle Busche came into the pit and got tires. On the restart Ryan Newman took the lead and won the race. Jeff Gordon was second, Jimmey Johnson third, Mark Martin 4th and Juan Montoya 5th. Kyle Bushe came in 8th. We went back to the motor home on I-10 and US-60 to Mc Clintock and were able to drive 60 mph the whole way. Snoopy was glad to see us. He had been b himself for 9 hrs.
