Trip to Cold Spring and Minneapolis

Short trip to Cold Spring and Minneapolis to see the granddaughters and have my 3 month prostate cancer treatment checkup. left Buxton at 6:00 PM July 7th. Got to Cold Spring at 10:30 PM. We took David along on this trip and his van. Unloaded the van from the tow dolly, Jay parked the tow dolly and helped me park the motor home. Jay visited in the motor home for awhile. We got to bed, but David was wound up and still awake at 3:00 AM.
Thursday left for the University of Minnesota Fairview Prostate Cancer Center at 9:00 AM. My appointment was for 11:00 AM. We got there at 10:30 AM. I dropped David and Cathy at the Mayo Building and took the van to the parking ramp. got checked in by 10:45 AM. Finally got to see the doctor at 1:30 PM. My PSA was 1.49, so he was very pleased. It was 11.35 in December and he expected it to be half of that or about 5.7 three months after the implant and then one half of that in January 2011.
We went to Ikea for lunch. David and I had the Swedish meatballs and Cathy had pasta with Alfredo sauce and vegetables. David had a princess cake for desert. We looked around to give David an idea of what Ikea was.
We stopped at Trader Joe's in Maple Grove for some olive oil and couscous. I had hoped to get some of their lemon pepper, but they have discontinued it. We then stopped at Albertville so David could do some shopping at the outlet mall. David bought a nice shirt at Tony Hillfigers. Cathy got some dishes to replace some missing in our Corelle set.
Stopped at Hardees in Cold Spring to pick up some hamburgers for dinner.
Got back to Jay's, ate dinner and visited with the girls. They were all showing how they could ride bicycles, tricycles and scooters. Jay had to stay late for work, so didn't get home until about 10:00 PM. We visited and snacked on shrimp for awhile.
Friday morning Jay, Becky and the girls left for Duluth at 8:00 AM. We left about noon for Fargo. Stopped in Alexandria to fill with gas at Mill's Fleet Farm. Stopped in Fargo to see Chris and Joyce. Joyce prepared dinner for us. Stopped at Mill's Fleet Farm and filled with gas on way out of town. Got back to Buxton about 10:00 PM
