We left Wednesday July 14 at about 7:00 PM. Got to Watertown, SD Walmart about 11:00 PM. Spent the night there and left at 7:30 AM Thursday morning. Construction on all the I-29 bridges. Stopped in Brookings at the Cenex station for Burger King sausage breakfast sandwiches. Got to Fairmont, MN at noon. Checked out Jake's RV Surplus, he didn't have much. Bought some switches and light fixtures. Got to Forest city about 2:30 PM. Stopped at Pammel Park to dump tanks. Got to Rally Grounds at 3:00 PM. We are close to every thing, but on not very level ground. Neighbor John from Pennsylvania helped level and took me around in his golf cart. Went to Lion's Pork Feed downtown. it rained, but the food was good. They were having the Battle of the Businesses in the street in front of the court house. Rained off and on. This is all part of Puckerbrush Days. Had big rain storm at about 8:00 PM.
Internet access is poor. Only 1XRT for Verizon. Rally grounds WiFi is really overloaded. Probably over 1,000 motor homes here already. About 1,300 are registered. Rally starts on Sunday.
