We left Buxton Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 8:15pm. We drove to the North Dakota - South Dakota border and spent the night at the Dakota Magic Casino. We took off at 7:00am and had good roads to Watertown, SD. From Watertown to Sioux Falls we had ice. There were several in the ditch, including a pickup towing a snowmobile trailer, which was upside down. We cut over to Yankton and took US-81 south into Nebraska. We stopped at the Nebraska Welcome Center and had a good view of the Missouri River. We had good roads through Nebraska and got to Salina, KS, where we spent Thursday night at the Walmart. Friday morning I had my ODNA meeting with UND. After the meeting we left and drove across Kansas. We had good roads, but a high side wind out of the north. The winds were 30 to 40mph. The winds decreased at sunset and we made it into Guymon, OK, in the Oklahoma panhandle. We again spent the night at Walmart. We started out at 8:00am on Saturday morning and finished driving across the Oklahoma and Texas panhandle on US-54. We got to Tucumcari, NM where we got onto I-40. We fueled up at Flying J in Santa Rosa. We drove west on I-40 to Albuquerque and Gallup. There was snow from Albuquerque west. We spent the night in Gallup at the Cracker Barrel, where we had a very nice dinner with fire place heat. We left Gallup at 8:00am and drove on I-40 to Flagstaff, AZ. There was a lot of snow around Flagstaff, but the roads were all dry. We took I-17 from Flagstaff to Tempe. We arrived at the Tempe Travel Trailer Villa at 2:45pm. We had already made a reservation and
