It got down to 41 degrees over night in Seguin. The morning is clear and sunny. Went into the Walmart and bought another GPS, so we will have one in each motor home. Left at 9:00am for Shiner, TX, 60 miles down US-90 Alt. We got to the
Shiner Brewery at about 10:30am. We went into the hospitality room and had a couple of beers before the tour started at 11:00am. The tour was interesting. They were started by the Shiner Brewing Association, a group of men that wanted Bavarian type beer. It was bought by Kosmos Spoetzl in 1914. He was a German trained brew master who had worked in Europe and in Egypt prior to Texas. they kept going through prohibition by making near beer and ice. There is only one stop light in Shiner and the tour guide used it as a reference in recommending places to eat and drink Shiner beer. We left Shiner about 12:30pm and headed for Houston. We went from houston up US-59 to Livingston, TX to the
Escapees Rainbow End RV park . It is $13.50 per night. We will leave here in the morning to go to Houston and pick up the new motor home. The high temperature for the day in Livingston was 70 degrees.
